4 Tips To Keep Your Wood Wick Candle From Going Out

Today we’re going to share some of our best tips on how to care for and enjoy your wood wick candle to the fullest! Here are some things you’ll need to know:

  • Our wicks are already trimmed, but you’ll need to continue trimming them as you enjoy them. The ideal length of your wick would be ⅛ to ¼ of an inch. If you’ve never clipped a wick before, an easy way to do this is using finger nail clippers. If your wick is too long, the flame will go out after few minutes.

  • As you light your candle, it’s best to move the flame back and forth across the wick so the entire wick burns. This prevents the flame from going out.

  • Allow the candle to burn until the entire circumference of the candle has melted, especially on your first use. This helps prevent your candle from tunneling.

  • Each time after your candle burns, make sure to remove the ash and trim any excess materials before your next use.
